Castle of Ripa d’Orcia

In the old beautitul Castle of Ripa d’Orcia (XIII sec.), set upon a rise in the centre of Orcia Valley, thanks to a skillful work of renovation, there is nowadays a comfortable country Residence with rooms and apartments ideal for relaxing stays. Nowadays the Estate covers an area of 320 hectares (around 800 acres), 6 hectares of which are dedicated to vineyards all around the Castle and about 10 hectares of specialized olive trees located in the area of S. Quirico d’Orcia.
Recently the ancient wine-cellar has been converted into a tasting room where small groups, on appointement, can taste the Estate production of Orcia Wines and Extra virgin Olive Oil.
